No movement for interest rates

Nobody seems to give much of a toss any more (they will when rates start moving back to somewhere nearer "normal"), but the Bank of England announced unchanged base rates today of 0.5%, exactly where they've been since March 2009. More here.

Typical! Suits all those paying off mortgages just fine but anyone trying to save for a deposit isnt at all helped by these appalling interest rates. I have no idea how I will raise a 20% deposit with rents so high and interest rates so low. It is ridiculous!
