Pensioners and key-workers took to the streets yesterday to protest against the Crown Estate's plans to sell off £250m-worth of affordable homes across the Capital. Word is out that a buyer has been found (no word, yet, about who that might be), and the future's uncertain for tenants of more than 1,400 homes, including nurses, teachers and retired people.
