Market report - surveyors upbeat

Our agents and surveyors aren't going to let a falling HBOS index spoil the party... wherever they look, prices are rising, according to the latest RICS poll. The difference between those reporting a house price rise and those reporting a house price fall rose to +22, the highest figure since January. Maybe it's the sunshine. Or maybe it's all the cheap supermarket World Cup booze. At least some people are happy.

Enough of the RiCS survey which is worthless. They report sentiment rather than fact and the 22% figure you talk about is eclipsed by the 62% (of the 270 surveyors in their sample) who saw no change in prices.
RiCS get coverage simple because of the 'Royal' in their title. They know nothing about residential property, their monthly survey is unhelpful and the sample is tiny. No more please.
