Foxtons profitable, but may still need further support

A confusing picture. Sales volume down 75%, and yet...

"Foxtons is trading very profitably, but not in line with initial expectations," said BC Partners' managing partner Andrew Newington, speaking at the Reuters Hedge Fund and Private Equity Summit.

And yet - again - Newington adds that only a quick recovery in the market will save Foxtons from needing further financial support.
