Market report - FT house price index and a rise on the three month average

According to the FT house price index, out today, London's three-monthly average is up 8.5% on the same time last year. Across England and Wales, the figure's up 3.9%. More here.

The RICS UK housing report is the report that the market follows. It's worth having a look at that for the most accurate figures of what is going on. The Bank of England uses it to inform its decisions.

I just noticed that you can become an RICS Affiliate which enables you to get much the same information on everything to do with the property market. It costs about �100 to start with - it's really useful.
