I lick my cheese

That's I Lick My Cheese and Other Notes: From the Frontline of Flatsharing, a book by Oonagh O'Hagan. More than 120 notes left by one flatmate to another. What a great idea. I can remember sharing a busy house in W6 with a group of medical students, trainee lawyers and others. One girl was obsessed with yellow post-it notes and would leave them everywhere. But she favoured single-word messages, like (attached to the cutlery drawer in the dishwasher) "Up!!", meaning prongs, blades etc should be pointing up; or (attached to the central heating thermostat) "Down!!", which is obvious. My favourite: (attached to the hot tap in bathtub) "Pubes!!", meaning wash them away after having a bath. Lovely. But it could be a little embarrassing having guests around.

Hi

I was browsing property blogs to see what is happening in other markets and came accross yours. Had a great laugh --- thank you. Called a couple of other people over and we played a game of what other post-its were likely placed. Maybe "up" on the toilet seat, or "flush". Great fun for half-an-hour. Will come back next time we need a laugh and hope for another light post.
