Nationwide figures... property adds to Brown's woes
Every other economic figure is ganging up on Gordon Brown in his keenest hour of ambition and putting an entirely fresh spin on his handling of the economy, so why should Nationwide's quarterly house price review be any different? Prices dropped 0.2% in September, leaving prices stagnant of the previous three months. Annual inflation is now at 1.8%, its lowest level since May 1996. Expectations?
