First Rung reports on the story of a new BBC reality show, following the trials and tribulations of a Coventry couple who intend to pay off their mortgage in two years, by going to cheaper supermarkets, buying their clothes from ebay and taking on extra work. Who wouldn't eat homebrand beans and wear dead man's shoes for a life without a mortgage? Sounds radical. But does it sound possible? Expect to see the programme from January.
