A report by the Halifax into student accommodation costs names London as the most expensive place for a student to live, with an average weekly rent of £79. I don't now about you - but I'm surprised the figure's so low. Perhaps it includes Royal Holloway, which - as we all know - isn't really in London. Or maybe it's all those young people who rent out in the sticks, and travel into town for lectures and tutorials on old fashioned bicycles, their philosophy and classics texts in handlebar baskets...
